Great Tax Preparation Program

TurboTax makes filling out and filing your tax return easy. It walks you through it in a step by step, easy to follow, logical and comprehensive manner.
What's great about it: Ease of Use, Walks you through everything in a logical and comprehensive manner.
What's not so great: Nothing

I've been doing my own taxes for years. This just makes it so much easier and you remind me of some things I might have forgotten. Thanks, Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: I don't have to write up all those pages of information anymore because you do it for me!

Confusing

Bu the end of my return, I was about to e-file when the program started to ask more question about my state return (NJ) it was no nice to start all over again and even worst for every "mistake" I corrected I was taken back so far from my original point.
What's great about it: Nice presentation.
What's not so great: Not easy navigation.

Suggested improvements and strengths

Though I know the software does a good job it would be helpful to have a resource center explaining tax changes, brackets and standard deductions to help people plan how they may want to file. Every year I do my taxes twice for me and my wife as it always came up better to file deparately rather than Jointly even though Turbo Tax always suggested Jointly. This is the first year it is better the other way and I am not sure why. It woud be nice to figure out why so I can plan for next year,

What's great about it: Easy to Navigate, Good explanations in pop up boxes
What's not so great: Needs a "resource center" with updated tax tables and brackets by filing type

Lots of challenges with Employee Stock

This years experience with Turbo Tax

You have a good product or alternative to going to some competitors, to have someone else do the taxes. Since I use a Mac, it is suggested that I go into a different Apple program Mavericks,Yosemite or El Capitan, or I will not be able to use your product, so it will cost me more money to use Turbo Tax in the future. I use your product to save money not to have to spend more to use it. I usually have to upgrade your product to a "Premier" instead of using the "Deluxe", due to me having more issues on the business end of issues. This year it cost me more then having one of those Professional Companies do my taxes,so I hope everything works out for the best!
What's great about it: Your program is very straight forward, and fairly easy to follow.
What's not so great: Had some concerns when trying to edit some areas, had to go completely out then back in before it would work.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Overall, TurboTax walked me through filing my taxes in a straightforward, fairly easy way.
