A little difficult find information in some places. Need a way to contact a "live person" to ask questions or have a better method of getting questions answered rather than searching through a book full of questions asked by others. I will probably use it again but will check out prices before that I do . One last detail, entirely toooooo many reviews of reviews, ETC.
What's great about it: Very Thurough
What's not so great: A bit expensive and too much redundency

Home run, again

Great job again now in my 10th or 11th year of Turbo Tax. This program has safely stored and prepared by real estate holdings' tax information and walked me through the needed numbers. I am hopeful next year will be as good since 2016 will include huge changes such as liquidation of holdings and retirement etc. Just call me Alfred E Newman, but I'm not worried.
What's great about it: The online help even got the K-1 questions answered
What's not so great: Takes a bit of sleuthing, sometimes.

Could use some upgrades

I have used Turbo Tax for years now however I use it more for convenience of storing my information and rolling it over easily from year to year. I tried to use the online version however it is VERY limited. I wanted to over ride a form and manually enter the correction information and it would not let me do so. I had nearly completed my taxes when I had to purchase the desktop version to redo them. Once I redid them I printed them for my review, this is after all the audit checks, etc. were run by Turbo Tax. It let me miss key areas where income should have been even though I had excessive expenses. If I had not reviewed the information manually and trusted the software I would have missed entering a fair amount of income and putting myself at risk for an audit!
I also feel that the software isn't really made for people who have more than just a few w-2s, interest and dividends. Once you go beyond that I feel that the software struggles to meet the needs. I couldn't imagine trying to use this for multiple companies with multiple types of income.
What's great about it: Love that I can roll over data from year to year
What's not so great: The "checker" isn't very good

Refund beyond what I expected

Easier to use this year. Only one small problem upon stoping for the evening the program does not always ask to save work done. May want to look into this. The program does save the work anyway, but it would be nice to go to bed knowing that I saved the work.
I have been using Turbo Tax since 1998

Both good and bad

Very helpful and straight forward except for one item:
On reading a file from my broker, the broker did not provide the cost basis of a stock. Turbo Tax asked for it on a separate screen and I compiled. However, I discovered I had made a typo and tried to correct it but TT would not allow ii.
I tried several other methods but to no avail.
So I finally had TT delete the entire file input and redid teh input. Then when prompted I made doubly sure I did not make a typo.
Also had dividends which were tax free on Federal but only partially on NJ state.
No prompts on NJ dialogue to .make this change. Had to go ionto forms and manipulate teh entries to account for this.

printing out the files

I cannot get the files to print. the app keeps on putting me into a situation where I am prompted to select it as a pdf file, but does not allow me to print it out..tn.FRUSTRATING !!!!!
What's great about it: liked guidance through filling in the information
What's not so great: can't primt out the returns siles

TurboTax has has eliminated "Tax Time is always very time consuming". With this system I do not have to guess deductions as I am guided from start to finish and given explanations if some deductions are questionable, which forms to use for my situation and are explained WHY. TurboTax does not leave anything to question, it goes from A to Z in the quickest method and covers anything in between.
What's great about it: Nothing left out, line by line to increase accuracy eliminate errors
What's not so great: Could not find anything I did not like
