Love TurboTax! I try to convert everyone who tells me they go to "their guy". They still have to take all their information to that guy, so why pay him to enter it into his computer when TT has done such a fantastic job of making it so simple?
What's great about it: The easiest year to use TT yet!
What's not so great: Can't screen print some comparisons of last year & this year.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

FILING FOR DECEASED AS EXECUTOR

TT: "The deceased representative should prepare and sign the final tax return. The name of the representative must be entered as the 'IN CARE OF NAME" in the filer address under PERSONAL INFO."
I did not find any line from TT 'IN CARE OF NAME" or do I type that in myself?
Very confusing so your next instruction is "Sign return example:
Juliet Farnsworth, deceased, by Herman Hotcha"

Broke the News to me Gently that I triggered AMT

Easy to use. Led me through step by step. I had previously gathered together all my data (highly recommended) so it took about an hour overall.
What's great about it: Almost apologized when it indicated I had triggered the AMT
What's not so great: Non really, but it would have been nice if it had paid the tax due.

Excellent except retitle owner of K-1 Partnership

Had 2 K-1s from same Partnership due to ownership retitled. Unfortunately happened to pick the wrong one that adopted the carry-over loss from prior year, and 2nd K-1 may cause IRS question on why it appeared out of nowhere and will be gone next year. Unwise to pick Final K-1 otherwise TurboTax requires sale information, but not sold. Would be nice to have a blank sheet to send IRS to explain what happened. But I didn't want to file manually. So if they have a problem I'll explain. The $10 income from the one might have been written off the carry-over loss from the other too. Oh well.
What's great about it: Handles Most Broad Cases Well
What's not so great: Had retitle of K-1 Partnership complicated
