TT generally does a decent job. Sometimes TT's hard to follow when comparing to TT's last year's return. Had difficulty determining what PIN to use. Ended up submitting our old ones and newly created ones. I hope this doesn't mess up the return process. Some brokerage downloads were DUPs or hard to determine which account they came from. That took me at least an hour to sort out.
What's great about it: Reminds me of most deductions, downloads financial records from brokerage site,
What's not so great: Changes from previous year not that obvious, PIN inst. unclear - use old PIN, get a new one?, Dup brokerage downloads.

Lifesaver

This is a great product, overall. On some screens, more information is needed for the user, particularly in cases where you are entering information for a Schedule K-1. It took me a while before I understood the flow from screen to screen on the K-1's.
What's great about it: Best feature was the ability to download tax information from financial institutions
What's not so great: After doing a <save>, exiting TurboTax, and then reopening TurboTax, you don't always pickup where you left off.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Overall love using Turbo Tax. A few things that would improve are when you present a list of last year's income - identify by name. The reason is both my husband and I had income from the same place the previous year - but this year only I had the income and I didn't know which one to delete (because no name associated on the list) so I choose one and it turned out to be the wrong one and I had to cancel to pick the right one. Also a few of the instructions could be improved - for example the pin number. I didn't know if I needed a new pin number or I could use the old pin number.
What's great about it: Easy to Use

awful transfer of data from last year

Premier version. Program did not transfer all H&R block software data from last year. I followed instructions, asked questions to the user community (not much help), was sure the program had all of the latest updates installed but it still would not import last years financials. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and import the data a second time with no luck, The program did transfer personal info and capital gain/loss carryovers but no income, deductions and such from last year returns to make year to year review.
Turbotax saved this years files to last years H&R Block directory, not a new 2015 turbotax directory.
I have a low confidence level that taxes were calculated properly. I have used the program before without these issues but next year, I will likely consider using a different tax software.
Vary disappointing.

I have used turbo tax since my tax man retired 10 years ago. It is quite helpful when you have indecision. I would like to have easy accessibility to personal help as it is sometimes difficult to sort thru all kinds of questions. Often it is a simple question but difficult to find a simple answer. Fortunately I didn't have the questions this year.
What's great about it: I was able to input information a bit at a time. Did it over a couple weeks.
What's not so great: I could probably use a Deluxe Edition rather than Premier
