What's great about it: No need to look elsewhere when TurboTax has taken away all the pain, except of paying taxes to an insatiable Congress.

Consistent Expectations

Should display all income and distribution data that is
downloaded from previous returns and retrieved from current providers/institutions into the working return in a "separate" window. This window should be easily accessed and referred to during the completion of the current return.
I also find the redundancy in reviewing entries and rechecking data very comforting in the preparation process. The guidance process is outstanding. Keep up the good work !!

MAC Compatibility

I've used Turbo Tax for close to 20 years, and have always been happy with the overall functionality, accuracy and interactivity of the software. For the last several years, I've switched to a MAC computer, and find that my ability to scroll up or down on an input or return page is very inefficient. I first have to "grab" the page on the right margin to have a scrollbar appear, and then have to quickly grab the scrollbar (before it disappears) in order to scroll up or down a page. VERY irritating.
What's great about it: Speed, accuracy, interactivity between Fed and State imptu
What's not so great: MAC CompTIBILITY

States are not easy

Your software is not user-friendly regarding to multiple state 'resident/non-resident' returns. Can enter dates of residence, but choice of filing different forms is not obvious or known.
I'll probably be doing on-line filing with the state next year direct. Your prices for automated services is too much.
What's great about it: Brings info forward from previous years
What's not so great: Partial Year State taxes are problematic

Issues

Because I had out-of-state income Turbo tax mistakenly said I needed to buy an out-of-state tax form set. Turbo Tax should have a database for minimum income and a check to see if taxes had been withheld. If neither condition is met, then Turbo Tax should indicate that no return is necessary for that state. I hope the state tax form issue was not done incorrectly to generate income for Intuit.
What's great about it: Good tax return product
What's not so great: Cost to E-File a state return is ridiculously high.

Great Product

I have used Turbo Tax for about 4 years now and the product keeps getting better. This years version loaded a lot of information from last year so it made it easier to seek out deductions and add other income. Filing process is awesome. Once the taxes were done it took about 15 minutes to file state and federal and that is with slow internet connectivity. I recommend this product and will continue to use it in the future.
What's great about it: Easy with step by step instructions
