Great product

For those of us who are not financially and legally knowledgeable this is a great product. Some aspects are complex, but this has more to do with the tax code and not the product.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instructions for the novice
What's not so great: Upon re-entering a few items previous select is lost and requires an answer. Should keep all prior responses.

TurboTax Premier

I use the Premier only because of retirement distributions. Don't even want to try anything else. Also like that if I get interrupted or cannot finish, I can flag the page, close it and come back later to continue right where I left off.
What's great about it: Love the lead through and help along the way if needed.

Even for non-tax professionals it was a snap

The Intuit step-by-step process even for non-tax professionals was a snap. This is my 5th year of doing my own taxes and I am sold on this tool.
What's great about it: Easy and very intuitive (pun intended)
What's not so great: need to be careful as some of the auto correct features could change responses that you previously provided
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Nice and easy

First time I used the data transfer from banks and mutual funds for investments/ mutual funds - made it VERY EASY...
What's great about it: Used computer transfer of investment data from banks and mutual funds
What's not so great: None

I Itemize, I'm not a Warren or Donald with a complicated return, so It works well for me. I never felt unsure because it guides you through and prompts you or alerts you when there is a mistake or a missed item. It finds mistakes and finds item that might help you with your tax situation.
It does a state return if needed and file both electronically if you like. It goes over the return(s) for a final review.
Nothing to fear, I believe you can give it a try, you can always print the return.
