Got My Taxes Done

I have been using TurboTax for about 12 years now and 2015 Premier is the first version that ever crashed in the middle of filling out my return. It also keeps asking for input to a forms I didn't use. Those defects with the new ads they flash at you make this about the worst version yet in my experience.
Pros - imports some of my forms with a little pain and e-files efficiently.
Cons - Crashes and computer lockups. It says it is reporting the problems to Apple, but who knows. Asks for inputs to forms I should not be filing - hope this kind of nonsense doesn't flag me for an audit!

Disclose supported IRS forms

After the 2014-2015 takeaway and restoration, I tried to understand what was supported in the 2015 Deluxe vs Premier. Product marketing literature was not sufficient to tell whether Deluxe supported what it used to support before 2014.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Walks through everything, or browse on your own
What's not so great: Marketing lit doesn't disclose which forms supported in various product levels

I needed to find some driver's license information during the Security and had to leave the return open on the computer since there was no flag.
What's great about it: excellent for doing taxes
What's not so great: would like to have been able to flag return during the Security portion at the end.

I've TT for years. Easy to use. Took me about an hour to input a complicated return once you know what to input. The help forums are are available for MLPs etc.
What's great about it: Good integration with itsdeductible
What's not so great: 1099 Q added tax at first which scared me until I added the 1098T
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I am 77-years-old and still doing my own taxes. I can't say enough good about T/T.
What's great about it: I have been using some 20-plus years
What's not so great: Each year I see improvements. Keep it up

Turbo Tax - Thorough and Accurate

Have been using Turbo-Tax for about 10 years - it's made tax-time not near so burdensome!
What's great about it: Tips help when the questions are confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
