Buggy on a Mac

We were running the software on an iMac using Yosemite O/S, with all of the updates. About half a dozen times Turbotax would get stuck saying "Calculating" indefinitely. I would have to go "back," save the work, and then do a force quit. Restarting the program then always worked, and I could get past the point where it got stuck. I do a lot of computing on this iMac, and have never had a problem, so it is clearly a Turbotax issue.
What's great about it: Comprehensive

Easy, but worth the money

TurboTax Premium is the easiest tool to use for a complicated task! Well worth the money. I especially love the side-by-side review of the previous year's income, taxes, and credits. It highlights how our government gets our money from year to year and possibly some credits you've missed for this year's taxes.
What's great about it: Simple and Easy to use

Turbo Taxed

Overall, Turbo Tax is easy to use. Just wish some of the explanation fields would provide greater detail without having to go to the IRS site, Poor explanations on how to depreciate and show the sale of a vehicle used for multiple homes using standard mile formula and each time you go into the rental section to make a minor change or addition you have to re-answer several question
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: Have to reenter certain fields over and over if you go back to edit

Good layout, some glitches

As usual, I enjoyed the well guided tour through the tax forms. However, a couple of times TurboTax hung (spinning cursor). This was rather disconcerting. However, after forcing it to quit and restart, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it didn't loose any information and managed to restart where it left off. Perhaps it was battling my iMac's El Capitan system. I do that sometimes.
What's great about it: Well guided process
What's not so great: TurboTax hung a couple of times

First time user of TurboTax

As a first time user of TurboTax (I have used a CPA for the past 37 years), I found it excellent. I took me a while to figure out how to dig down into the actual forms so I could make specific changes after I made mistakes going through the rapid format option. A good tutorial would have helped here (pardon me if I missed a tutorial but I didn't actually see that option when I opened TurboTax). But, with google search and Turbotax help, I found answers to all my questions. TurboTax help takes a day or more for answers to come back so that is a definite negative when you are trying to finish your taxes under a deadline.
What's great about it: Exce;;emt program for prearing Federal & State Taxes
What's not so great: A really good tutorial would help. (Pardon me if I missed one).

Fix It Time for TurboTax

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now, and this was the 1st year that the program seemed to get stuck while calculating. This happened many times at different places in the calculating process, and the only way to rectify the issue would be to quit Turbo Tax completely and resume later. Not only did this add to the time spent doing taxes, but it did make me feel less confident in the programs ability to keep my info. safe and accurate. I had 2 different refund amounts and couldn't figure out why. I went page by page until I found one area that had been unchecked originally, and I rechecked it. That solved the problem.
All in all, this is a worthwhile purchase, but this years bugs need to be addressed.

Tax Return made easy

Tax preparation was easy, the help center was very helpful in understanding various items. I am using TurboTax for the last 10+ years and will continue to use.
