Always awesome!

I've used Turbo Tax for years and find it to be the easiest program, and now even faster. I don't understand why any one pays someone else to do their taxes. By the time you get done with Federal, the State is already filled out! Awesome tool!
What's great about it: So Easy! You just need your paperwork.
What's not so great: I would have liked to copy or print the filing details that proved it was sent

Clear and easy

We bought a rental house this year and were worried we'd have to get an accountant to help file the tax return, but TurboTax guided us through the entire process easily and we feel confident we saved the cost of an accountant and will not be audited.
What's great about it: straightforward guidance
What's not so great: none

Ive used Turbo Tax for many years. I cant compare to other tax software because ive never used anything else.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Had a little trouble downloading information from broker but not bad

TurboTax Good for Common Items Only

TurboTax is great some years and average or worse other years. For the 2015 tax year it is average. Your idea of having a community answer tax questions has been a very bad idea. Questions that I have tried to get answers for, were often wrong not only from the community standpoint, but even Turbotax gave bad advice. Also trying to find the right answer and then trying to find out where to enter it in the federal tax return was a real challenge. For example, the question is: Can you take a loss on a ROTH IRA account. Community said NO and the general Turbotax answer was no also. But doing some digging, I discovered you can take a loss on a ROTH IRA following the stated limitations. I had to call and speak to a specialist online to find out how to add it into my return. I would suggest a major revamp of your entire HELP section of your program. Remember JK Lasser's tax help books. You need that level of detail to assist users in figuring out more complex situations. There are also too many "in your face" commercials to get you to spend more money. I have been a loyal customer of Turbotax since you produced your first commercial income tax product. If you want to keep your loyal base of customers such as myself, keep your programs clean and focus on making your product so good that there will be no need for a "help line". if you do that you will continue to retain and grow your customer base. Remember, in the past, when you tried to grasp for every dollar with your lock down procedures, it turned into a disaster. Don't put yourself back in that situation again.
What's great about it: Generally good for mostly standard returns
What's not so great: Help from other people is terrible and not accurate

BEST TAX PROGRAM ON MARKET . VERY EASY TO USE. SAVE HUNDREDS BY DOING YOUR OWN TAXES. TAX SERVICES WANT YOU TO THINK YOU NEED THEM. YOU DO NOT.

Turbo tax is just a nice easy way to make data entry faster for filling out all those forms.
While it has some "checks" and balances, it still requires you to be able to read, it's not magic, but it's a solid tool for what it does.
What's great about it: Filed my taxes in under 3 hours (I own a home, Itemize, and have a rental, and ate dinner in there too)
What's not so great: it didn't fill in everything for me?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

1098-C

Vehicle donation to a charity. I had to enter the same information in several places (multiple times). It was impossible to enter/state that the value for the donation was the sale price of the car, by the charity. I have to call TT to clarify and spend an hour waiting on the phone.
When I asked to call, the TT program said the wait was 5 minutes. When I called the wait time was said to be 55 minutes. I will call again.
What's not so great: TurboTax does not handle 1098-C correctly
