Was using a tax consultant for quite a few years and decided to try TurboTax this year and it did take me more time than at the consultant, but overall, considering the drive to the consultant, the cost, I think TurboTax was a better deal!
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Makes you go over the entire section every time instead of jumping directly to where you want to go

In general, this is definitely the way to go for tax preparation. After several years of using TurboTax I am confident that the returns are accurate and complete. The process makes it very easy. However, I would appreciate some discussion of certain situations DURING the preparation process. I didn't find out until I was printing the forms that there was a penalty on my federal taxes and that my charitable contributions had been excluded from my state taxes. Also, the calculation of my federal pension exclusion for KY State taxes is the same every year -- couldn't that be rolled over from prior year calculations instead of me having to find the info again every year?

What's great about it: It's easy, reliable, quick, and accurate
What's not so great: I lose some of the in-depth understanding of my tax situation

As easy as they make it and as many times as I've use it, there are still problems presented with an inadequate explanation of why there is an error. This occurs most often in the fix any errors portion of the program.
What's great about it: Pretty easy format
What's not so great: Software glitches and time spent to research how to deal with them, not to mention time wasted finding out it's a glitch

Reliable and easy. Don't have to be an accountant or math whiz to do taxes.

2015 Turbo Tax review

Just the above comment about efiling. Also, it should be made more clear for a way to print out the entire return prior to efiling. The way it now can be interpreted is you have to efile prior to printing out the forms for review. It should be clear for the user to have the option to print out the return prior to the discussion points about efiling. Thanks.
What's great about it: Very helpful, accurate, complete, could not complete my taxes without it.
What's not so great: When efiling is complete, allow user to print the document that records the actual date and time of efiling submittal.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

All Calls and Puts should have an inital value of zero (0). That should be a automatic.
What's great about it: Very user friendly tax software what I have used fro many years.
What's not so great: None I know of.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
