Disappointed in TurboTax in 2015

I received a number of 1099-R for 2015 and the taxable ones kept getting errors and asking me for things that I could not provide. What ts ENTER SIMPLE METHOD LINE B.
That never was dicussed for covered in premire turbo tax. I had to get a friend who is a tax expert to finish my return this year. DON'T TELL ME ABOUT ERRORS AND NOT EXPLAIN IN DETAIL WHAT THE ERROR IS SPECIFICALLY ABOUT AND WHAT PUBLICATION CAN HELP. TURBO TAX IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT FILL IN THE BOXES AND GO. NOT GUESS WHAT THE ERROR IS ALL ABOUT. I MAY NOT USE TURBOTAX NEXT YEAR BECAUSE OF THIS!!!!!!

Two decades of Turbo Tax

Great product that does not disappoint. Worth every penny!
What's great about it: Keeps up with the tax code changes to keep me better informed on what to track
What's not so great: 1099 misc for business a little messy...be careful if you have self reported income.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Too many times while working on my taxes it got stuck "calculating" and I had to save what I had done, exit and reopen TT. this was VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! Please fix this so it doesn't happen next year!!

My prior year info did not pull as it always has in the past so I had to enter everything again manually. Disappointing. Then every time I went back to check something in 2015 taxes it didn't save the info and I had to enter it again. It used to save it in prior years and I would only change what I needed to. Not impressed with the 2015 tax version. I'll try again next year but if continues I'll look for something else and I've used this for 12 years.
What's great about it: Step by step made it easy to do
What's not so great: Every time I went back I had to fill in everything again.

Far from perfect !!!

Do not like the fact the traditional IRA calculation was used to pay zero taxes. After that the final analysis was done. Several errors needed correction. The end result was I owed an additional $133. Move the IRA calculator to be after final analysis.
What's great about it: a good start.
What's not so great: Traditional IRA calculation needs to move after analysis and error detection.

Glitches with MacVersion

I left out of my original review that there were a lot of glitches this year with the Mac version. It kept getting into endless loops and I'd have to force quit and try again. It would happen all over the place. Sometime if I could select Back it would correct itself, but often not. It would not always be at the same spot either!
I think that Macs are the stepchildren.
What's great about it: I still managed to get my taxes done.
What's not so great: It was frustrating and I could have finished much sooner.

Turbo Tax is not allowing to e-file State only

Turbo Tax needs to fix a design flaw or bug in the program. It should allow users to e-file State without e-file Federal. Please fix this design flaw and correct this bug as soon as possible.
