Got hung up while calculating

I used Turbox Tax Premier version for Mac. Twice it got hung up while calculating so I had to exit out of Turbo Tax. Luckily after I came back no information was lost.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Twice got hung up

Easy to use

This year I didn't have a rental property to complicate my taxes, so I was able to do taxes without the business turbotax. Got taxes done in one afternoon. Look forward to a refund soon.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: hard to get started on apple computer

I hate doing my taxes...

Our 8th year of using Turbotax. Last year was marred by our return being returned because it had already been filed (we got hacked at the IRS) TurboTax procedures weren't helpful last year, so I appreciate the additional e-filing security measures. One "burp" this year: I got all the way through the process and during the check phase, was taken back to forms I'd never seen that were auto-filled (Health Care.) My employer (a state government) informed me that the health care forms and penalties had been pushed back from 2015 to 2016. If so, this ought to have been caught when I did the turbotax update before preparing my taxes.
What's great about it: TurboTax always speeds this up and what used to take days now only takes a few hours
What's not so great: Not everything gets explained

Great program

I've used Turbo Tax since it first came out. I wouldn't even consider any other tax preparation program.
What's great about it: User friendly; accurate; through

I decided to prepare my returns this year 2015 because our situation had simplified since I retired and we sold our farm and moved to Colorado in 2014.
To double check my and TurboTax's accuracy I also paid our CPA who had prepared our taxes for 15 years to do them. My (TurboTax's) numbers agreed to the dollar with my CPA's numbers after I added one IRS form for a carry forward item.
As it turns out I believe TurboTax could have handled our taxes in the past although slightly more complicated. I was the limiting factor, not TurboTax.
I was very impressed. I have a good friend, a CMA, that uses TurboTax for his personal tax returns.
What's great about it: Very impressed with the step by step approach. Gave me a better understanding of the tax code.
What's not so great: None

TurboTax 2015 Review

My taxes are relatively simple, but the tax computations that were used was relatively simple and straight forward. The only part that could get confusing for me is the Investment incomes/trades, etc and that data downloaded seamlessly from the brokers.
What's great about it: Simplicity
What's not so great: I had no Cons until I tried to submit THIS questionaire and it kept getting rejected because Knickname previously used.

Mixed messages on TFA / Americorps award

Should include a way to file an americorp award easier, your directions online completely contradict what the program tries to get you to do (file a sch C)
What's great about it: Everything but the 1099-misc was a breeze
What's not so great: TFA/Americorp award messed it all up
