Worth While Investment

I can spot some of the very useful additions to TurboTax over last years version. Too bad it could not load my information from last years TurboTax, it would have been very useful. For all other past years of TurboTax it loaded in with no problems. I like the added security of the Driver's License information.
What's great about it: Seemed to be a complete and useful tool to do taxes
What's not so great: Wish it had more retirement tools

Covers Everything; Easy; File Within a Few Hours

I've been using Turbo Tax for several years, and each year it gets easier to use. I have multiple income sources, and it asks the relevant questions. Even when I sold one home and purchased another, it covered everything. I love this product.
What's great about it: Lots of Assistance, Covers All Income, Easy Review

Fun and Easy!

I have used Turbo Tax for years and have recommended it to others.
What's great about it: Good explanation of how to fill things out correctly. Easily referenced explanations for questions.
What's not so great: Not enough attention given to the State Tax if you want to mail it instead of e-file.

What's not so great: Makes you wish it was longer to find more ways to save.

My Tax Returns

I really like Turbo Tax. It's very easy to use and refunds get processed faster. It would be nice to get one state tax e-file included for free but at least the Federal e-file is free.
What's great about it: Very accurate questions asked
What's not so great: Cost to E-file

Good but has a few glitches

In 2014, a routine update (required before you can even start TurboTax), zapped all the data I had already entered and saved. At least that didn't happen with the 2015 edition.
For 2015 (and prior years) the problem I had was trying to figure out how to input data for a traditional IRA to Roth IRA conversion. This requires filling out form 8606 but getting to that form is not very clear. The instructions "what did you do with the money from XYZ" lead me down the incorrect path which I didn't discover until I did my own auditing of the form 8606. I knew what needed to be on which line of the form but the data wasn't there and there is no easy way to directly enter it. Only by going back to the "what did you do with the money from XYZ" page did I discover that additional options only show up if the user selects the first item (i.e. "moved the money to another retirement account").
What's great about it: relatively convenient, easy e-file
What's not so great: lacks flexibility for direct user input

Turbotax works:

Sometimes it is difficult to tell exactly what calculations are being made off-screen. Last year I rolled over a 401K to an IRA. TurboTax showed the rollover as income in the summary. The tax was correct, but the numbers looked odd.
What's great about it: Turbotax caught an error with my Roth IRA last year. This year I got it right.
What's not so great: It was difficult last year to account for the excess Roth contribution.
