It makes filing easy!

The ability to import most of my data (W2s, Schedule Ks, various 1099s, etc make preparing my taxes easier and ensures accuracy. I especially appreciate data being pre-populated from previous years. This really comes in handy with 529 contributions.
What's great about it: TurboTax handles all my investments including those nasty Schedule Ks!
What's not so great: A state electronic filing should be included in the cost.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Pretty good way to file

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now and I find it to be quite good in getting me through tax time. The only issue I had this year was the information on a K-1 had to be separated onto several worksheets and it was complicated as to where to get a second worksheet. I finally found an answer from last year which gave me step by step guidance and I finally was able to do what needed to be done, although it took several hours of searching and trial and error before getting the info. Overall, though, the program is very straight forward and a pleasure to use.
What's great about it: quick and easy for most of the sections
What's not so great: k-1 worksheet - difficult to find the answer as to how to proceed with second worksheet.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Hidden Cost

Turbo Tax needs to list all cost up front...
They wait till your ready to e-file before you know how much it will cost, and they don't tell you how much the state add on is.
It was almost as expensive as the main program!

Too easy for words

I loved the step by step instructions and all the help that goes along with it. You don't have to be a tax expert to do it. I feel like I had an accountant by side all the way. Great software.
What's great about it: What a time saver - easy to understand and use and Efiling is great.
