This is my first time filing Turbo Tax. Overall it was detailed and easy to follow. However, when I printed out my forms, I noticed that my income was put under 'wages, salaries.etc.'. Since I am retired and receive pensions and IRAs as income, I believe my income should have gone on lines: 15a and 16a which would have determined a lower taxable amount. All my wages went on line 7 with the exception of social security. Please advise me on this. Thanks for your assistance.
What's great about it: First time filing Turbo Tax. It was easy to follow
What's not so great: I'm retired. My income forms were 1099Rs and should have been filed on line 15a and 16a.

buggy experience

I've used turbotax for the past 4 years, always with success and ease. This year however the TT Premiere of 2015 did not import our TT Delux info from 2014.
Also 5 to 6 times during data entry the "recalculating" box stayed on with little whirly thing stuck on. First time i waited 10 minutes before finally shutting down the computer, later times of this bug's appearance I simply shut down Turbo tax. Fortunately each restart came up OK and I did succesfully complete and file my returns but the bug added at least a half hour of downtime and considerable frustration and anxiety to my experience.

Great software, one small improvement suggestion

Wish there was a "print page" option for your short/helpful personal review summaries! These are not part of the IRS package, nor part of the file copies for record, but do give very helpful insight into personal finances and situations. There should be a mechanism to print these one-page "educational" tables for later review.
What's great about it: Complete, accurate, choice of aided or form entry, easy to follow!
What's not so great: Wish there was a "print page" option for your short/helpful personal review summaries!

Not as easy as last year.

I had trouble deleting forms I didn't need this year (K1s) and form 1310 had a bug and put me into a calculating loop 4 times before I could get around it. But, your help center is helpful!!!
What's great about it: Better than filling out forms and mailing!
What's not so great: Bugs

Too repetitive

The program is becoming too cumbersome. As stated, every time I needed to go back and work on numbers in a section, I had to answer the same questions first - again and again and again. It becomes idiotic and tedious. Once the user has answered the "verbal" questions once, they should not have to answer them repeatedly when just going back to a section to update the numbers.
What's great about it: Good intitial guide when entering each new section of the tax form
What's not so great: Every time I needed to go back and work on numbers, I had to answer the same questions first - again and again and again

Give you a grade of B- , had to keep going back to edit info that was entered for my spouse instead of myself. I did like the flag feature that let me return to items I needed to find.
What's great about it: easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: filed joint return and could not tell who i was entering info for
