Frustrating but gets job done

Turbo Tax would be nearly perfect if it did not have some problems never fixed and a new one all related to Nominee adjustments.
The long frustrating thing is that TurboTax does not do Nominee adjustments for 1099-B gains. It allows an odd round-about way to make the Nominee adjustment to the reported amounts but prevents entry of the "N" code that should go with it.
Well, I can OVERRIDE the field and enter the "N" but then:
I cannot E-File
I void the guarantee

The new frustration is that the NEW 1099-INT box 13 for amortizing not-taxable interest premium does not get prorated for Nominee adjustment of box 8.
What's great about it: Many complex situations handled well
What's not so great: Some complex situations require work-arounds

Getting foreign tax very difficult and confusing. I downloaded all the information from the securities company so you have it. Why do I have to reenter? And I don't understand some of the questions. Make this easier!
Are you sure you are calculating IRA deposits if you are over 70 1/2 correctly? Is there always a penalty??
Why can't I apply my refund to next year's estimated taxes? In the past I could do this.
What's great about it: Keeps building on previous years version so easy to use when you know the system

What's not so great: State returns do not offer access if there is a snag

Calculating loop freeze on Mac

Calculating loop freeze on Mac. Very frustrating when Turbo Tax goes into a frozen calculating loop on a Mac desktop. Have to force quit and start over several times. TT can do better.
What's great about it: Easy to fill in forms

Took both of us over 3 hour to figure out how to print the copy for our records. When finally discovered that saving it to a preview file worked, it gave us not only a hard copy but also a electronic copy.
What's great about it: Easy to enter info using EasyStep
What's not so great: Took us over 3 hours to get our copies to print on Mac

TurboTax file storage

Turbotax used to offer CD storage of tax return and TurboTax application for the year. There were also TurboTax cloud one year. For 2015, I see only PDF and print files offered. Where is the tax return and TurboTax application for 2015 stored, and how the 2016 application is to retrieve data from 2015 for automatic filling in? I am lost.
What's great about it: only print and PDF copies offered
What's not so great: no idea where tax file is stored

Turbo Tax has done it again! Since I am a repeat customer, the program downloaded my profile from last year so it saved me a lot of inputting time! It is very easy to use. It has clear and concise instructions with expert tax advice along the way! I like how it checks and reviews if I made any errors---easy to fix too!
Turbo Tax, not only is easy to use but it gives you a maximum refund! I will use this program again next year!
