What's great about it: import financial information from brokerage houses
What's not so great: asked about state returns when I live in Nevada--no state income tax!

TurboTax for doing my 2015 tax was very easy. It seems that the program gets better each year. I don't know how you could improve it, but you manage to surprise me each year.
What's great about it: It made doing my tax this year eaiser than any year before

Mostly Very Good presentations for each catagory.

Had a difficult time getting into my Intuit acct. and had to reach a customer representative. (I feared the wait to be long, but it was not long at all).." She" was very pleasant and helpful to finish my Return charges for the Michigan State Filing. Her name is Anaiqua (first name I assume) and she walked me thru the process very quickly and efficiently. I am an "older" lady in my 'eighties', and, I prefer, Thank You Very Much, to do my own taxes! Thanks for employing nice people!
What's great about it: Like filing the Federal and the State together and not having to reenter all that info.
What's not so great: I found the Michigan questions confusing in re:Previous declarations of medical refunds for what area??

You Missed the Mark

I got a notice: "We noticed the you received exempt interest from state obligations. Interest received on state or municipal obligations outside Indiana acquired after December 31, 2011 is not subject to tax in your federal return but is taxable in Indiana. Enter below the total interest from obligations acquired after December 31 2011."
If you already knew, why didn't TurboTax enter the amount? When the data is downloaded it is not easy for a novice to fine the Data!
What's not so great: You made me find an amount you already knew.

I have used Turbo Tax for a dozen years. It is great.
What's great about it: Good program
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Software bug caused lots of extra work, anxiety

Had a bug and the only way to work around caused much extra work and the uncertainty that it was correct. I had to delete the "Tax and Interest Deduction Worksheet" which has info stashed in lots of different places. I hope the software caught everything because when I was done the tax due was more! I didn't need that.
What's great about it: Love Easy Step!
What's not so great: Bug in Software

Tuition and Education Credits section needs help

I knew which amounts should be entered on the return, but your questions didn't elicit the correct responses. So I had to go back and change my answers so that the figures would wind up on the correct lines on the return .
