Bonus Help!

Have always loved the efficiency of the program but recently moved from one state to another and the former State software was taxing income not earned in that state. I searched the help function and then contacted them for assistance. I talked to an actual person! They were able to find the error by accessing the form and then manually making the adjustment. The software didn't recognize the state changes but the support from Turbo Tax found a solution and all is GOOD!
What's great about it: The help function was valuable and saved thousands.
What's not so great: Had to use the form to correct a problem the software didn't recognize.

Yes and no buttons

In addition to having larger yes and no buttons, please don't make us have to scroll down to the bottom of each page as we enter income data.
What's not so great: The Yes and no buttons should be bigger.

Almost perfect

Love Turbotax. We have a farm, rental property, stocks and it does it all. The only problem is that TT needs a site where you can enter (for example) "cost of tax preparation" and it says, "Go to section XX, Subsection YY" INSTEAD of "enter the cost at the appropriate place" or "you can enter it at XX or at YYY or at ZZZ"
All in all, a great experience
What's great about it: concise, complete, easy, intuitive
What's not so great: hard to locate where to place information at times

I mailed my Federal return, I did not efile. Now turbo Tax will not let me efile my New York State tax as required by law.

The good thing is that TurboTax still gets the job done at the end of the year.
The sad thing is how the costs are escalating from Intuit. I generally buy the premier package which, in the past, has included one state file. Not so this year, not only that but the cost to the taxpayer to buy the program, file as well as to purchase the second state has risen dramatically.
I shall be looking for another tax program next year... I suspect the costs to be about the same. But I will decide at that point whether to either buy the new program or just save a good amount of money and go through the process without the benefit of the necessary software.
You must know that to purchase the Premier program, a second state and filing of both states is approaching the costs of having some accountants do your taxes...
Think about this... Perhaps give some thought to discounting costs to our elderly and retired folks. Sorry to see Turbotax reach this point.

Easy and orderly process

I feel confident in using Turbo Tax. It is easy to understand and goes into all the necessary detail. Allows for questions and full understanding with the help guides.
Easy to save and come back to when you can start again on working through the process.
