Easy way to to my taxes

I've use Turbo tax for many years and it has been easy to use, great instructions. When you use the "learn More" it is very easy to understand and gives you all the info you need to complete your taxes.

Keeps working well

Have been using Turbotax since 1997. Never had any problems and I am used to the navigation within the program. I do the taxes for my children. Over the years I have learned many things to do or not do to reduce taxes. Turbotax use to have a feature of "Tax Planning" that allowed you to look into the future, adjust for major changes (i.e. buying a house, new job, loss of job, children, marriage, divorce, etc); don't know when It was removed, but I wish they brought it back. A feature I would gladly pay for is a Retirement Planning Tool, I will be considering retirement in 5-8 years and I am not sure about the tax consequences of income, SS and Capital Gains.
What's great about it: Good, accurate, has access to many forms and keeps track of prior years returns
What's not so great: Sometimes it feels it asks too many qustions

Slow in processing

With my 2012 Mac Air there were many processing delays. It was almost like there was a slow internet connection and the program was running from internet (and not locally). The delays were so problematic that I would not recommend the program.
What's great about it: fairly automatic

Problems with HSA corrected. When using Step-by-step, the same questions have to reanswered when revisiting a section. Wish that previous answer would stay checked. Would also like capability to add pdf files as attachments.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Unable to import documents from different accounts at same institution

Great Product -room for some improvement

Overall, I am extremely happy with the product and have been using it for years. Maybe since it was first introduced. I had a one time event, selling a rental property, which generated a large capital gains. I understand the purpose of Safe Harbor. In my case, I will have capital gains from investments, but not from another rental property. I would like to have seen TurboTax make the extra efforts to determine estimated taxes based on realistic projections, instead of the current return. It seems to me the product is so close to being near perfection. I little more effort would make the product more useful.
What's great about it: Makes complicated IRS publications seem much more straight forward.
What's not so great: Unrealistic Estimated Payments for future based on one time event.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax works great

Turbo Tax works great, as long as the individual states set their finalized tax forms promptly - otherwise, be patient and let Turbo Tax do the updates as they become available. With federal tax laws becoming more and more complex, I can't imaging any taxpayer not using tax-prep software. I believe the results rival what most, if not all, professional tax preparers would do. Thanks Turbo Tax
What's great about it: straight forward, comprehensive
What's not so great: navigation to "final" forms is clunky, sometimes hard to find
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
