Excellent and Thorough

I made a mistake and tonight I learned about how to go into the "form view" and delete the forms I made mistakes on so that I could start over on that form.
What's great about it: easy questions and help when you need it

Unless you have multiple things happen during a tax year (e.g. Deaths and distribution transfer of property and financial distribution) This software should work well for you.
What's great about it: Easy to use - intuitive
What's not so great: Would like to have more state publications added
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Would not let me e-file, as it wanted answers for a 1099-B form, other than those provided on the 1099-B form.
What's great about it: worked well except as noted below.
What's not so great: would not take the information on my 1099-B form as correct!!

Have used Turbo Tax for many years. Love the ease that all the info "magically" is carried over from previous returns.
What's great about it: The ease.

Somewhat Frustrating

It is an OK program but for my installation it would require an update before it would efile. However, the update would just sit there and never worked. Eventually I had to figure out how to manually do the update so I could finish.
What's great about it: Does the job
What's not so great: Updates did not work and wouldn't allow you to go on until you updated

Would not have dreaded filing with a sale of a rental property and excess Roth IRA contributions to deduct if I had known how easy it was going to be. Between TurboTax's import from brokers and the combination of rental income and sale of rental property without any guesswork on my part, it truly was so much easier than I thought it would be. So glad I've used TurboTax for years now, no need to enter all that info again. Really appreciate the intuitive and user friendly layout. Thanks TurboTax! My dog is happy you got him more walking & play time!
What's great about it: made a complicated sale of rental property very simple
What's not so great: excess Roth IRA contributions needs some more explanation for prior years
