What's great about it: Easily walks you through the process
What's not so great: I was having issues with my IRA conversion and could not get an answer to my quesrtions

Makes Taxes look easy!

I really love TurboTax and how easy it is to get all my information in. I have rental properties and receive addition income for coaching and it makes the process of filing so simple and makes sure you answer all the questions needed. The only issue I had this year which I didn't notice in previous version is that the slight bug that on certain questions (usually yes/no questions) it wouldn't save the answer and every time I went in to review that section I would have to re answer that question.
What's great about it: Step-by-step walk through and easy navigation
What's not so great: slighy UI quirks like having to reenter answers during reviews

Another Easy Filing

All done again. Amazing program. Still need to make it possible to do Trust Returns on a Mac.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and use. Asks the right questions.
What's not so great: Had to do do State Returns for WI & DC and some of the correction just named a line on a form,but didn't show form.

2015 Premier TT Review

I've used Turbo Tax Premier for the last 15 years. I've tried a tax service and compared them to Turbo Tax. It takes as much time to prepare all of my documents and receipts for them as it does for TT. And we have lots of investment income and sales of investments along with business expenses, donations, and deductions plus kids in college. The accountant we used said that we didn't miss anything and there was nothing they would have done differently. I save a lot of money using TT Premier vs using an accountant. I even select the Tax Audit service every year and would not do my taxes without the service. I've been audited 4 times; 2 times without the audit service and 2 with. I've never owed the IRS a dime, but it does take time to prepare for an audit. With the audit service in place, I notify them of the audit request and let them do the rest. Again, we did not have to pay the IRS a dime but the ease was using the Audit service and they took care of the rest. We sent them the documents and let them deal with the IRS...I wouldn't do my taxes without TurboTax Premium and the Tax Audit service. Money WELL spent on both!
What's great about it: Easy to walk through, improved help screens
What's not so great: Several areas you can't go back. Need to be able to Go Back everywhere
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I searched and searched for a way to apply to my federal estimated taxes for 2016. It was easy for the state return (California). So I went to forms and entered what I wanted to do.
What's great about it: nice and quick
What's not so great: couldn't find an instruction for how much of my federal refund I wanted to use as part of my estimated taxes for 2106
