Great Tax Software

I have used TurboTax since the mid 1990's and would not use anything else. It is easy to use, It keeps your tax history so information is pulled into the current tax year to speed inputting information. I keep an Excel spreadsheet to estimate taxes and it always comes within a few dollars of matching TurboTax. The variance is due to TurboTax rounding dollar amounts and I include the cents in Excel.
What's great about it: Detailed Questions to Aid Preparation
What's not so great: Questions About RMD When It Does Not Apply to Retirement Distribution

I've used Turbo Tax for over 10 years without any problems and will continue to use it in the future...it makes filing taxes easy. Additionally and if I do have any questions, I can always chat with someone at their Customer Service Center.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax's step-by-step procedures continues to make filing taxes "simple"!
What's not so great: I'd like to e-file my State return without a fee!

i wish I had stopped paying accountants long ago, this did everything they did for a tenth of the price. It included all the forms I needed and prodded me or gave info on things I was not sure

I can't get the state to print... it keeps coming up as "do not file"
also the program double counted my 2014 tax payment in 2015
also the line showing the vacation home sale showed only that the house was an inheritance and did not show the transfer date.

Good product. Have used for many years. Saves on a lot of annual research. Really like not having to worry about simple math errors.

I have used different tax software over the years but this year's tax processing with Turbo Tax was one of the best ever. I highly recommend Turbo Tax for the do it yourself tax filer.
What's great about it: It guided me through the sections I needed and helped my bypass those I did not
What's not so great: None
