it is too general,with my simple income it generate too many forms.

Great program - Still a few holes to fill

Overall, TurboTax is a great program for straight forward tax filings. But, If you have sold a rental property, pulled money from a college savings account, or done any other act that would generate a less common reporting form, you will have to jump back and forth between the help menu (online) and the program search field to find the right window to enter your data. Everything is there, but some of it is harder to find. A few simple questions at the beginning of the category could help the program direct you to where you need to go to enter data, without all the hassle of having to look it up and jump back and forth.
What's great about it: Most common categories are easy to find and well explained
What's not so great: Data entry for less common tax forms have to be searched for

Still incurred same error are last year of "blank payer" on interest form when doing state taxes. Couldn't proceed without correcting. Had to go to to community help to find solution!
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Locked up when displaying "Calculating" on several screens. Couldn't proceed or go back, had to quit and restart..

Overall, continuing to be a good product that makes it easier for me to complete my taxes. Handles all my tax situations with ease....although still miffed that I had to upgrade to the higher version just to do sales of stocks (last year and this).
The step-by-step interface seemed better this year.
The import feature is awesome -- it saves lots of time for the data available from my brokers!
The foreign tax credit component still has issues when based on imported brokerage information. Seemed better this year, though.
What's great about it: Builds on prior year(s) easily
What's not so great: Get lost on occassion

Best gets Better

I have used Turbo Tax for numerous years and seem to always come away more impressed than the previous year and stating a similar positive review. The best continues to get better.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions and guides
What's not so great: The inherent confusing tax codes & criteria can not be avoided
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
