I'm a long time user; makes the process easier. I did not like the changes last year, and really do not want to pay for Premier because i have a minor amount of investments.
What's great about it: Answering a series of questions
What's not so great: Might have been an issue on my end, but each time I exited TurboTax and re-entered, it started me at the beginning

Very Helpful Tool

This was my second year to do our itemized tax return. So much easier than all we years we did the returns on our own.
What's great about it: All Calculations are done for you
What's not so great: 1099 Misc Intellectual Property Royalties are difficult to link into aSchedule E

Good but could be better on MacBook

I did my return this year on a new (2016) MacBook Pro. On any given page, you can't use the keyboard's up and down arrows to scroll through that page. Instead you have to repeatedly hit the Tab key. This is especially annoying since the pages don't fit the monitor screen. It would be great if this could be fixed.
What's great about it: Year-to-year continuity
What's not so great: See below

Crashed several times on Mac

I've used turbo tax (and before it, Macintax) for at least 15 years. This is the first time it has crashed. I had to search for hidden files on my HD to find the temp file in order to access my data. Then it crashed 2 more times before I finished. At the end, I received an error message when trying to order Audit Defense.
This review if for the Mac TurboTax Premier CD product for tax year 2015.
What's great about it: In prior years, it was flawless. Problems this year
What's not so great: Crashed several times. Couldn't buy audit defense.

Fairly painless

Overall, this was an OK experience however this review is early as I don't have my acceptance email yet.
As a very small business owner, I sometimes am not sure which form to enter certain office expense items on, 8829 or sched. C and does it matter.
Wish I could check out 'married filing separately' for the spouse more easily.
The 'What if' did not include the state and did not match the results i got from filling out the actual returns.
What's great about it: Many ways to enter information & go back & forth
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to find correct line to enter info on.

Turbo Tax Rocks!

Overall, TurboTax is amazing! I have used this program for the past 9 years and have never had any difficulty with the program and it is completely accurate in its calculations. It even helps me find deductions I was not aware of!!
What's great about it: The "Guide Me" feature is so extremely helpful!!
What's not so great: The fact that you have to scroll all the way down each time you visit a section when you are done with that section.

Same old, same old

Glad I found Turbo Tax however many years ago. Has saved me a bunch of money. No complaints; will reuse in the future.
What's great about it: Easy navigation; great job presupposing the questions I had
