2015 Return

Giving I was having update issues. I traveled out of town on business and was able to update today. Though for peace of mind I would appreciate having an 800 number to contact Intuit for any support issues. I am an older tax payer and trying to keep up with internet and technology issues is getting more taxing than just preparing the taxes. I know a call center is a huge overhead, but it is a nice service to a returning customer like myself that has used your software since 1995
What's great about it: Able to get on and off and work return when time allowed
What's not so great: Had update issues during Feb 25-March 15, 206

College expenses

Turbotax is always great but lacks with entering information about my daughter and expenses for college as they relate to 529 and ESA plans. In fact, I had to manually enter amounts on at least one form because Turbotax has it wrong! I was not expecting this but struggled for hours and then did a google search to find out that others had the same issue. I believe this needs to be improved and corrected immediately. Would make my experience significantly better.
What's great about it: Turbotax is always easy to use and thorough.
What's not so great: Difficulty with answering questions with college expenses.

As Usual--Just Great

I have used Turbo Tax to file my taxes and taxes of friends for over a decade. It has improved over the years, and is an excellent tool for novices and professionals alike (I ran a tax office for a major tax service a few years ago).
Well worth the investment and time to use it.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Understands complex situations, very flexible.
What's not so great: This year, it was a little difficult to return to the place I left off...but I got there.

Best Yet

Overall the SW worked well. It's Deductible cause PSWD problems. New PSWD would not work immediately. Get new PSWD and try to use it then would get another PSWD and would just compound the problem. After some delay the last PSWD seem to work...perhaps a warning that there must be a delay between obtaining the new PSWD and using it???
What's great about it: The tax preparations went smoothly.
What's not so great: Its Deductable PSWD didn't work. I'd ge a new PSWD but it wouldn't work.

Missing Feature

Your competitor offers a back-up feature at the end once taxes are complete. It creates a Disk Image File that includes the application, the tax files and PDFs of the files, that can be written to optical disk, flash drive or an external storage device. Very convenient plus its compressed and takes up less space than the actual application and corresponding files. I would like to see that incorporated into TurboTax.

Turbo Tax actually helped us to get a better refund than the "tax professional" that we had previously used for years. We discovered that we were eligible for the American Opportunity Credit this year and should have received it last year as well (so we will be filing an amendment for 2014 to receive an additional refund from last year). Thank you Turbo Tax!
