Ease of Use

What I like about TurboTax is ease of use. Although I have used TurboTax for 40 years, I still like the step-by-step method--especially at my age.
This year I had to use Customer Support and found it very helpful when I couldn't locate an error.

Mostly good experience

I have used TurboTax for many years, and it is usually good for about 99% of what I have to do, However the last two years I have had a minor problem with issues related to k-1's for investments I own. This year was no different, even though I spent a little more to get the 'Premier" version. I don't feel the instructions do a very good job of explaining what has to be done for k-1's and why.
What's great about it: Easy to enter most data
What's not so great: Had a problem with requiring k-1 data from an investment sold prior year

2015 TT Sucks

Crashed and hung up many times. Strange forms appeared that I didn't select and had trouble getting rid of them. I have used Turbo tax for over 10 years and have never, never, never had so many problems!
What's great about it: I finally finished
What's not so great: Many, many, many bugs + slow

Turbo Tax Is Great

Turbo Tax is consistently great and keeps improving. I especially like how I can pull in info from my file on my computer of my previous tax return for quick fill of standing information and quick fill of sources of income and charities for deductions.
Turbo Tax keeps up-to-date on tax changes and informs tax filers of changes to look for each year.
E-file process is great.
Excellent customer service response times.

MY TAX FILING SOFTWARE

I am an accountant and do several returns each year and find Turbo Tax very clear in almost all cases. I do returns for Rental property; Scholarships; Home offices; for both working and retired people. I love the software.
What's great about it: Carry forward from last year. The way it takes care of all tax issues.
What's not so great: Ocassionally does not make thing clear such as Scholarships

Eases the pain!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now and I could not imagine preparing our taxes without it. From copying prior year information to taking you step by step through the return, Turbo Tax makes sure you are able to file a complete and accurate return with confidence.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and use; step by step covers all topics
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
