Great with a few negatives

A very useful and intuitively constructed. This program has answers to all but the most complex questions. And even means are provided to get them if you need help. The only two negatives in my experience are: (1) There is no need to have to insert, e.g. 12 separate entries for a single charity because they all differ from month to month. Just takes time when just the annual sum is all that is required; and (2) For some reason Page 2 of Schedule E with an entry in Part II of that form designed for Income or Loss From Partnerships and S Corporations. I don't have and such Income or Loss. I had to overwrite with a blank (but Line 28b would not overwrite#, but the program won't delete the form #I do have Part III data), but it calls it an error. I had to write a Special Note to both Fed and State about this error on the programs part.
Nevertheless, I like the program and will use the new one new year. Just hope they do a good review of why they force something when it not needed. And if it my mistake, let me delete it so I can file electronically.
What's great about it: Good answers to common questions, excellect guidance throughout the frd and state returns
What's not so great: Spurious unneeded form entry and complex Donation entry.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

2015 Taxes

I had a short term loss due to stock option expiring. The imported info put negative amounts in for sale price which caused an error. Stock options (Calls and Puts) are not uncommon, yet there was no info in the Premier version to resolve the entries.
What's great about it: TurboTax continues to be easy to use
What's not so great: Upgraded to premier and still needed online help for investments
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Vast improvements NEEDED

TT warned that importing from investment forms could slow things down, but +30 seconds per response? I wanted to go back into the program and delete the 1099 forms until near the end of the program, but I had to leave the program running overnight to get done 'calculating.' I got very sick of the 'spinning beach ball' wait icon, and that's after closing all other programs and having over 4 GB of free memory available. (of 8 GB total)
During review I got dozens of 'errors' saying "Form 1099-B Worksheet (untitled): Adjcode: Adjustment Code(s) -XX should have a value if an adjustment amount is entered.” My choices in a dropdown box were: No Entry (if it was left that one it would come around again) C=Collectibles D= Market Discount W= Wash Sale"
When you tried to see the 1099-B form where the entry was questioned, it only showed the first page of the form, so you couldn't really see the questioned entry, had to guess "Wash Sale" sounded benign, so that became my stock response since refund didn't change.
What's great about it: Step by step process
What's not so great: Slows to a crawl after entering 1099 forms from investments
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax calls up the previous year and adds the information into the next year. You don't have to be familiar with the different forms. You supply the information and Turbo Tax fills out the forms for you. It also lets you know if there are any errors or information that is missing.;
What's great about it: Really liked using the interview process

Made something that tends to be extremely painful

I believe what I stated above encapsulates my feelings toward turbo tax. There always seems to be the good and the bad. I'm not sure if the problem is with turbo tax or the institutions they need to deal with. And the legal language from changes in the system would probably make you turn blue, but I think turbo tax should keep plugging away at trying to make things even easier. All in all a good experience and someday may be great.
What's great about it: Much of the importing of information that is performed
What's not so great: The inability to import more information and be a little clearer around why some things may be different
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
