Made a complicated process simple

this is the 8th year i've used this product and ive never been dissapointed. excellant product and a bargain compared to the price i'd pay for a tax accountant. makes doing taxes as easy as possible. i'd definitely recommend this product to anyone

Tax done easy as pie

Since I lost my tax preparer a few years back I feel Turbo Tax have given me peace of mind my tax filing is done right and I am getting all the tax break I am entitled.
What's great about it: The ability to include multiple states for filing. To review and edit anything missing the first time around.
What's not so great: Would like to talk to someone on really perplex problem.

top job

One item puzzled me and I hope I did it right. The brokerage import did not touch on some dates and I could not figure out what should be entered. Took the chance that it would shake out alright.
What's great about it: Walk through was great, yet better each year.

Having made a charitable contribution through an annuity program it was required under IRS rules to submit a statement as to what rate of interest was used. There was no opportunity to do so with the tax package. Turbo tax suggested that I print my forms and include my written statement forgoing electronic filing. That is not good solution. Better to provide a space within the program where one can type a message.
What's not so great: need a place in Turbo Tax where one can actually communicate with IRS.

overall, my experience with program was terrible
What's great about it: imported brokerage data ok
What's not so great: Does not handle K-1 schedules and partner ship sales very well

Great and getting better

I have been using TurboTax and Quicken for many years and, combined, they take most of the angst out of preparing my tax returns. They continue to improve the user interface.
What's great about it: Lobical, easy to use
What's not so great: None that I can think of.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
