Have Used for Many Years and Love It

I have used TurboTax for many years and can't imagine doing my taxes without it! It is so well organized and it leads you right through the process of preparing and filing your taxes. When you use it the second and subsequent years all the prior year's information is automatically transferred from the prior year which saves hours of re-entering the same information. I also love the way it automatically goes to my brokerage account and downloads all the necessary information so I don't have to sit and enter all those numbers again.
What's great about it: Extremely well organized and easy to follow.
What's not so great: None as far as I'm concerned.

TurboTax is always great. Over the years, the software has improved. That is what we expect. Good job!!!

Saved time and money!

Can't believe I toughed it out for so many years trying to do my taxes without TT. I realize now how much wasted time and effort it cost me and how much money I lost before getting TT.
What's great about it: TT does all the calculations and thinking
What's not so great: Sometimes TT asks for something that a layperson has no idea what it is or how/where to find the info

Easy to Understand

I love the It's Deductible! You don't have to figure out garage sale prices and it calculates for you. It has helps and is easy to understand.
What's great about it: Calculates for you
What's not so great: Have to go through every page if you make a change

Another Easy Tax Return Experience

Been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years now. Each time the process is very thorough and user friendly. After retiring in 2007 the process was little more time consuming with extra work due to investments but it was still manageable.
What's great about it: Very thorough and easy to understand
What's not so great: Lengthy but manageable

It did the best it could to save me some $$s!

I sold a 2nd house last year. There is not area in Easy step where it asks about inputting data from a 1099-S or the subject of selling a 2nd house. Primary focus/mention is only on selling a main home. It made it very difficult for me to figure out how/where to input the data. A third of my time doing my taxes was spent on investigating how to address this one subject.
Also it is still cumbersome when switching from Easy Step to the Forms area and then getting back to where you want to be in Easy Step. Sometimes you want to start back into Easy Step exactly where you left off when you switched to Forms, and other times you want to start at the very beginning of that Easy Step category area or the beginning of a subset section of the area you left. It would really help to have the option to select exactly where you want to go when re-entering back into Easy Step.
What's great about it: Easy to skip the areas not needed
What's not so great: Issue in switching between Easy Step and forms, Easy step missing one key subject area

Smoother this year on Mac OS
