Finally Figured Out Rental Property
on March 16, 2016

I do 4 returns - ours, our son's, his mother's and his aunt's. Two are EZ forms, 1 is a 1040 with itemized deductions and 1 is a 1040 with Schedules A and E (rental property). When it comes to rental properties TurboTax could still be better at explaining depreciable expenses (things that would not be removed when sold like a roof?) and depreciable assets (the house itself?). But the non-depreciable expenses (insurance, repairs, maintenance, etc) are nicely labeled (but on 2 screens which is confusing sometimes) and I now have my Quicken categories set up and with notes so that when I record transactions in Quicken they're already set up for tax time.
What's great about it: Easy to sort receipts into expense buckets
What's not so great: Took 2 years to figure out buckets

I like that Turbo gets all the forms done for me and handles details I might otherwise miss. Have only had one issue that even phone calls could not resolve but I was able to search and come up with a solution of my own.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I fee this year's (2015) edition of TurboTax Premier is "friendlier" in a user interaction sense. It also felt very thorough in covering topics or asking questions about my return. Good job, TurboTax team!!
What's great about it: Improved user interaction
What's not so great: None

Turbo tax does not load Vanguard data correctly and you get no notice of this. I stumbled on the error accidentally.
What's great about it: generally easy to use
