I've been using Turbo Tax for years. It's always worked well for me. I occasionally run into a little trouble when I'm researching some of the more unique and/or complex situations. Sometimes finding out what a particular question means or why it's being asked can also take a little effort. But I've always found what I was looking for and been able to complete my returns without professional help. I'm very pleased with the software and will continue to use it every year for the foreseeable future.
What's great about it: Easy upload of information from previous returns, walks you through everything
What's not so great: Can be difficult finding information on complex issues

Simply excellent - painless experience

No complaints - even the e-filing was easy. Worth the cost - if they keep the price where it is, I will be a return client.
What's great about it: Not a single glitch - worth every penny

I have used the software for several years and the returns get more complicated each year. The program does a great job of walking you through all the potential areas that require attention.

sometimes confusing

I had difficulty with adding charitable contributions thru "It's Deductible", but finally got it done. When it finished my taxes, I had a Fed refund of over $3000 but no choice to apply that against 2016 estimates. I will need to pay estimates since nothing is withheld. I also need to inform the system that my income for 2016 is going up between $15-20,000 which will make the need for estimate even more.
What's great about it: most of the program seemes to work well
What's not so great: some parts are confusing

Met all expectations

First time with premier and it handled my special stock holdings nicely. Glad to be using the TurboTax products again after 2 years with our accountant. Also love keeping a few hundred more of my refund!!
What's great about it: Mostly easy to find things, wizards helpful
What's not so great: Tax advice eventually get to "consult your tax professional" which undermines the purpose of do it yourself
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments, I had a baby

TurboTax Comes Through Again

I ran into a somewhat complex issue and was very impressed with the telephone customer support that I received. After years of using the desktop version of TT I tried the online version last year and was disappointed by the lack of flexibility to access and edit the actual tax forms. I'll stick with the desktop version going forward. Thanks to the customer support person that provided me the option to switch once I hit the limitation.
What's great about it: Great customer support, desktop version is great
What's not so great: Online version too limited
