20th year of Turbo Tax

Doing my taxes is never a chore or dreaded. Turbo Tax makes it simple to step through everything and feel confident that all areas are covered. I have used Premier for the past three years since I have retired and have investments that I must manage and report on my taxes. Retiring to a state with state income tax is something I never had to deal with in the past, but Turbo tax makes that simple and straight forward. I have used Turbo Tax for 20 years without any problems; I expect to use it until mother nature files my return.
What's great about it: Never had a problem
What's not so great: Fee for state filing to high for advanced computer age
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Had to switch to desktop from online

TurboTax needs to update its online version to allow couples to file joint federal returns and separate state returns for their respective legal residences. This could be done easily if they would allocate/assign the deductions to the individuals like they do for the income side. Now I have to file via PC due to this face. The customer rep was helpful and it does save a few bucks but you lose the online retrieval option after filing this way for 17 years.
What's great about it: Very smooth transition
What's not so great: Want to use online

Another awesome experience w TurboTax

Terrific software. Our taxes are complex with rental units, retirement, liquidating assets, donating multiple items to multiple orgs, new healthcare deductions as we move into Medicare, and an assortment of other complexities. TurboTax makes it as painless as possible and gives me confidence that I'm reporting accurately. Until the tax codes get a lot more simplified, I'll be a lifelong TurboTax fan!
What's great about it: detailed without being tedious
What's not so great: I would like to be able to present evidence (photos) of the charitable donations so I don't get audited

2015 Income Tax Preparation

Have successfully used TurboTax to do my Federal Income tax for years and will continue to do so because of the ease of use and the detailed systematic approach that it provides you in preparation of your taxes. Provides me the ability to prepare and submit my taxes without having to use a tax service. Complete and total confidence that my taxes are prepared correctly and that I have gotten every deduction that I have earned.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, step-by-step detailed information, easy to maneuver throughout the program, easy steps for efiling.
What's not so great: None. Reason I have used Turbotax for Years.

DONE IN NO TIME

THE PROGRAM IS VERY SIMPLE TO FOLLOW. YOU CAN CHOOSE TO HAVE A LOT OF HELP OR YOU CAN GO ON YOUR OWN WHEN YOU FEEL CONFIDENT. REMINDS ME OF DEDUCTIONS AND INCOME THAT I MIGHT FORGET. I FEEL LIKE MY AUDIT RISK IS MUCH LOWER WHEN I USE TRUBO TAX. AND I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MATH MISTAKES. THIS YEAR'S TUROB TAX WAS THE BEST PROGRAM YET!!!
What's great about it: THAT THE PROGRAM HAD STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
What's not so great: THE % CHARGED TO USE CREDIT CARD/WILL MAIL

Great Product

Not sure which product is the best fit. The cost between versions is also a factor. Transfer of information from prior years is very helpful.

What's not so great: Which version do we need? Cost.
