What's great about it: The ability to download stock transactions from Fidelity
What's not so great: previous year's TurboTax allowed stock transactions with the DELUX. Now I have to buy the PREMIUM

1) "file save" option not on main draw down menu
2) "print preview" should also be on main draw down menu
3) the amounts on the various forms (lets say line 15b on 1040 as an example) should be hyperlinked to the form they came from
4) Add more import suppliers (State Street, BNY Mellon etc as an example)

A Fantastic Program!

I have been using TurboTax for many years and each year it never disappoints! This year, I had a complex situation and threw a question to the TurboTax community for the first time. It was a matter of hours before I receive an answer to my question. Everyone should be able to do their own taxes and TurboTax makes that happen!
What's great about it: Continual updates and an intelligent step by step system that minimizes your chance of an error

simple to use for complicated returns

I have used turbo tax for years. It is great for importing information with regard to stock transactions from your brokerage. That function alone is worth the price of the program.
What's great about it: being able to acess prior year return information
What's not so great: I am always concerned about security

TT has been an excellent and cost effective way to do my taxes over the years; it is user friendly and has easily saved me $100's if not $1,000's through the tips it provided; assuming Intuit will not significantly change the look, feel and functionality in the future, I will remain a loyal user
What's great about it: User friendly; good tax advice that I would have otherwise missed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Time Saver

Have used TurboTax for several years, always satisfied with the results, and much quicker than exploring the various scenarios by long hand (my previous method). Only quirk is figuring Royalties- there is so much variation in field names that figuring out which figure is what value can be a guessing game.
What's great about it: Imports last year's data for comparison
What's not so great: Big jump in cost for a single income adjustment
