Decent software gets the job done

What's great about it: Fairly efficient
What's not so great: Pricing. Online vs. CD. state filing fees on top is a mess!

easy to work with

Using Turbotax was not very difficult and once the basic information-income, contributions, etc. was tabulated entering the data was fairly easy. The program could be used by most anyone who can follow the steps on the screen.
What's great about it: Importing date from investment firms made the process eASY
What's not so great: TRYING TO SET UP AN ACCOUNT WAS NOT AS EASY AS IT SHOULD BE

I always go through the step-by-step process to make sure all items of income and deductions are captured. The process is well organized and doesn't take me long to go through all of my data. I also like how I can e-download my W-2 and several of my broker statements so I don't have to manually input that information. I've used TurboTax for MANY years and will continue to use it for MANY more years!!

Won't print

I can see the details and data in the Forms page, but every time I attempt to print it prints with rectangles in lieu of letters and numbers (basically blank) !!
How do I know my return wasn't sent to the IRS blank?!
iv'e used Turbo tax with this printer for years w/o a problem until now. printer is working fine with all other software.

Easy to follow step by step can either go by question or directly to the forms can go back into areas to review. I love the comparison of last year as that helps to make sure I don't miss income or deductions.

Refund..more fun, less stress!

It is our second year using Turbo Tax! Super easy with last years information transferred with a touch of a button! Our rental depreciation is a snap with this process, no need to input numbers individually. Saved us 500+ dollars on tax prep fees.

Simple and easy to use

Great product and easy to use. I am a CPA who has been a tax preparer for 20+ years. I recently switched from public accounting to private industry, thus no longer had access to tax preparation software. I chose Turbo tax since the software allowed me to prepare my Schedule E (Rental Property).
I would recommend this to anyone who does not have a complicated return (no pass-through entities) --- leave those to the tax professionals.
