TURBOTAX 2015

If only all software was this user friendly. About my 7th year using TURBOTAX. Makes taxes very easy.
What's great about it: So easy to use.
What's not so great: Wish you could print out work screens

2015 is not my favorite TT vintage.

Historically I've been a big fan of turbo tax - this year not so much. On at least one occasion the built in help didn't help. It talked about not having a state tax liability in the previous year - but didn't indicate if that meant owing money when you filed the the previous year or meant having paid any state tax at all. It took numerous tries to get the dialog I actually needed to fill in with turbo tax (as opposed to going directly to the forms.)
Another problem appeared when I printed my state form form so I could mail it in - the forms says "See page 6 before assembling return" but there was no page 6 - that's in form's instruction booklet no part of the return itself.
A final annoyance was after printing the state return it continued with a section on health insurance/affordable care act. It took me out of Turbo Tax to the internet and started some sort of interview the purpose of which wasn't clear to me. So I couldn't take advantage of that 'feature". I purchase my own copy of the software because I don't want any more information about my private business floating needlessly around on the net.
All and all, it has been a decent product but this year is raising doubts and I may need to rethink TT. I mean even this review form ends with unnecessary questions. Perhaps you think this is being paranoid, if so I recommend you get the 'electronic game' 20 Questions and play it with family and friends. Then, think about the questions and information various websites request...
What's great about it: Can do my own taxes while gathering same info a tax prepare requests
What's not so great: Confusing at points for Wisconsin situations and for health insurance

if you have a large # of entries you have to continually scroll down to the bottom of the page to add the next one. It would be helpful if when you completed an entry & clicked on " yes you have another entry " that you were taken to the bottom of the page. rather than have to scroll;; down each time.
It is very frustrating to have to guess a nickname 40- times only to be told someone else has it. Provide a list of 1s available or better yet eliminate it. Why is my nickname important, I'm trying to help with feedback you should make it easy for me to do that rather in making it difficult.

Turbo Tax 2015

I've used Turbo Tax for over a decade now and gets easier and easier to use every year! I always feel confident doing my taxes with Turbo Tax every tax season. It's easy to use, takes the guesswork out of doing taxes and let's me rest easy knowing that my taxes are done right every time. I highly recommend Turbo Tax!

Good Except for Loading

It took over a half an hour to load on Macbook Pro. It kept loading as 2014 until I deleted all previous attempts. Very cumbersome. I have used Turbotax for years without this problem.
What's great about it: Easy Transfer of information. Straightforward Explanations.
What's not so great: Very Difficult Loading on Macbook Pro

Very, Very Pleased with Service

Chris, your CPA, was kindest and most helpful. He walked me patiently, step by step through the process. I am a first time user, was recently widowed and my first time to file returns after marriage. My deceased husband took care of all income tax filing. Chris made me believe that good people are still here willing to help people like me.

Gets better every year

I've used TurboTax for many years. I like the easy step interview process that walks you through the return. If you forget something, you can go back and add or delete and TurboTax will make the adjustment throughout the return. Easy online filing too.
What's great about it: Easy download of previous year's data and it's deductible site
What's not so great: updates each time I open application, but at least it is checking.
