Product is very user friendly and intuitive to use. Like the ability of answering wizard like questions to help guide me along the way.
What's great about it: Liked the questionnaire format along with ability to go back to change date if needed

Nice Improvements to K1's

It is getting easier and easier each year. I learn a lot about out tax situation each year. It really helps with tax planning. I file Fed by e-file but I won't pay to improve the states processing of tax forms. The states get all the benefit while I bear all the cost.
NOT IN THIS LIFE TIME!!
What's great about it: Helping to make tiresome K1's easier
What's not so great: Could not figure out the download and import of K1's

I never thought I would be able to do my own taxes

I never thought I would be able to do my own taxes, but with turbo tax it is somewhat of a breeze. Just have all your info ready and do your taxes @ your own convienence.
What's great about it: It has all the updated tax info and you can trust the e-filing.
What's not so great: Sometimes going back to a previous section to change your info can be a little challenging.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I only use TurboTax

Why did you change the data download from Brokers this year? for 2014 year I only had to go get the data one time from my Broker. For 2015 I had to go to my Broker 3 or 4 times.
What's great about it: love having the prior years data there for use--saves a lot of time.

After the problems I had last year with an underpowered version of TurboTax, I tried to be more careful in my selection. No luck: I still had to upgrade the version in the midst of my tax preparation.
New first this year -- a bug in the code. There was a loop in the code for 1099-MISC that irritated me. I couldn't get out of it. However it was fixed in a day or so, and the rest of the process went nicely.
I am a long-time user of TurboTax -- even before it was called TurboTax. It is still, in my mind, the best solution for do-it-yourself filers.
What's great about it: Easy to use, helpful hints
What's not so great: Difficulty in getting right version, print hassles

Doing my civic duty

I would like more explanation of terms. Your click on answers are in peculiar text and hard to read and not very dynamic to match the many questions that can arise on tax form situations. Review your software for better definitions in plain language. It would help.
What's great about it: Easy math on worksheets I like It's deductible for charitable donations of goods
What's not so great: I entered my IRS pin in liew of SS# and was unable to see it in the appropriate place on 1040 when I reviewed forms.

Great product been using for years; The one year I tried another software, had a bug in the software and had to do an amendment.
What's great about it: Easy step by step
What's not so great: Deluxe wouldn't work
