Easy as Pie

Once again, Turbo Tax has come through! I love using this tax software. I love how it goes through each section in detail. It is very helpful that they provide you directly to more information if you need it. I love how the number scale up as you continue your refund so you know exactly how much you will get as a return or owe. The best!
What's great about it: very detailed,easy to follow

2015 Turbotax feedback

After TurboTax's pricing changes for 2014, I was going to move to a competitor for 2015. Since I had some different types of tax situations for this year, I reluctantly stayed with Turbo tax in 2015. I DID NOT APPRECIATE THAT I HAVE TO BUY A MORE EXPENSIVE TURBOTAX PRODUCT BECAUSE I HAVE MUTUAL FUNDS AND A FEW STOCKS. At this time, I do not anticipate for 2016 the same tax complexities that I had in 2015, so I believe that this is the last time I will be using TurboTax.
What's great about it: Turbotax generally simplifies the tax filing process
What's not so great: Recharacterization of Roth conversion was difficult to navigate, not intuitive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Federal & State eFiling

TurboTax: please add an Electronic Postmark confirmation form covering the State eFiling. You currently only provide one for the Federal eFiling.
What's great about it: The step by step function is well thought out.
What's not so great: TurboTax does NOT provide an Electronic Postmark confirmation form for my State Tax return.

Turbo Tax Rules

I have used Turbo Tax Software for the past 15 years. It is easy to use with support when you need it. I would recommend Turbo Tax to everyone.

Still some issues

There is no intelligence built into the system. I had to enter the data 1099-B as the information downloaded had errors. I found out that I was not the only one...
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Errors in downloading info from Financial Institutions

Superior software

I am a computer programmer who has used TurboTax since 1988. It works well, is accurate and fast (with the exception of startup time!).
What's great about it: Easy to use and accurate
What's not so great: None

Almost paid too much

The snapshot pages should be available to print or save. Otherwise tax planning is restricted.
What's great about it: step by step process
What's not so great: printing a page within the form not permitted. Only option is to print the entire return which makes no sense.
