An idea for you...

Have a graphic, an illustration really, like a flow chart, of how the process will work. Not just the list of things you have to do, but a flow chart to see where you are in the process ...use it as a navigation tool also... so you can just click on the box representing your place in the process and it will take you there.
What's great about it: Good interview process

Not as good as the Canadian TT

I had to have some kind of software for my situation - Canadian snowbird with rental income. First off: TT- PLEASE include 1040NR for us "aliens". Your partner service just didn't cut it - I clicked on it and gave up. Also an 8840 would be nice since we have to send that one in every year as well.
I'm sure there's a lot about this program that I've yet to learn so maybe I just need more practice, but a "Go to..." button would be great. The flags helped once I figured out what they were all about but better navigation tools would be helpful.

Easy way to do taxes

Turbo Tax makes doing taxes easy as long as you have your proper documents. Very stress free.

Great Program

Very easy to use. At the end it asked to update any new information and it said 1 or 2 minutes to do but after 5 minutes of waiting I cancelled the operation. It seemed to freeze up.

Awesome with one critique...

each year I need to revisit the tax prepayment section several times, and adjust the numbers since much of my income is rentals and things change. It is very difficult to find the section for adjusting next years expected income and deductions for both state and federal. Step by step I have never found it after it goes through it once, and I have to dig in the forms area. Please, please, please make this part easier! I just need to be able to revisit the forms and fix the future tax prepayments!
What's great about it: Mostly easy and intuitive
What's not so great: awkward tax prepayment area
Pros: I bought or sold investments

This product seems to get better and easier to use every year. I've been using it for around 20 years (maybe more) and I'm always pleased how it gets me through a daunting project (doing the taxes). I didn't try the flagging process you added but I think it's a good thing because I do have to "bounce around" and it is nice to be able to "go to" where you want.
What's great about it: Walked me through all phases with ease.

Helps keep life uncomplicated

I've been using TurboTax for many years. As a builder and the an independent realtor, I used the Home & Business product. Now retired, but still itemizing, I use Premier. This has made my tax filing anxiety bearable over the years. Thank you TurboTax for a great product!
What's great about it: The interview method is great
What's not so great: nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
