refund coming

I have used Turbo tax for years. I like the format and the ease of finding information I need in the help center
What's great about it: I liked the refund running amount on the top of the form.
What's not so great: You might make the 1099 section clearer. I had difficulty with the exempted area

Frequent user-Used Turbotax for over 7 years

I use Turbotax every year and find having previous years' filing records all in one place saves search time when moving to a new or different computer. There are still some problems forcing my tax situation into the program's matrix but have always been able to find a satisfactory solution without undue research. E-file is very convenient and is my first choice in submitting the return. This year I owed a small amount in addition to my estimated tax payments and could have used a comment on submitting payment when E-filing during the process of choosing how to file. Overall a useful and well built program.
What's great about it: Imported last year's return and downloaded 1098s and 1099s plus investment reports thus simplifying many entries.
What's not so great: Not very clear on how to locate last year's return if changing to a new computer (file extension questions).

Although I entered the Identity Protection PIN that the IRS sent me, it didn't get entered on the form.
What's great about it: got through taxes quickly

I have a complicated return. Handling of depreciation for employee business expense deductions is tricky. Turbotax did it well. Like any "black box" type of program, you can get lost when the request for information is unclear. Fortunately, we can go to the forms directly and see what is going on, correct errors. Good program, have used TTax for several years.
What's great about it: Asks questions, guides you through
What's not so great: Sometimes cannot understand which information is required.

In the Error Review, the program indicated that I had K1 Forms, which I did not have.I tried to cure this by going back to the K1 Section to no avail. I had to go to the Forms dialog and finally figured I could delete the two K 1 Forms that it erroneously said I had. This eliminated the errors but was a hassle.
Also I had an interest income deduction that was applicable to a deceased relative that had heretofore claimed a portion of Series E Bond interest on her final tax return. The program allowed me to insert the amount, but I had to go to the Forms section to enter the explanation. I suggest that any such event be accompanied by a dialog box of explanation that accompanies the option to insert the amount of deduction.
What's great about it: Fast
