Making the complex simple

I've been using TurboTax for 18 years without a snag! The price is reasonable for software that can handle fairly complicated tax returns, including interest,dividends, capital gain distributions, capital gains/losses from sales of stock, IRA distributions, etc. The interview process is quite helpful but you can also go directly to "Forms" and fill them out line-by-line, if you so choose. E-filing of the Federal return is free. There is a charge to E-file the State return.
What's great about it: TT is easy to use. The interview process is thorough and provides lots of help if needed.
What's not so great: None that I can think of.

Still really easy using Turbo Tax!

Turbo tax makes taxes easy. I like the new flagging system so I could review and go back and work on it!
Some sections didn't work as nicely though
What's great about it: I like the new flagging system
What's not so great: some areas needed explanations and didn't have any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My first experience with Turbo Tax

Need to use the CD desktop software was not made clear up front; I spent a lot of time using the on line product on my i-pad and it was not at all clear how this information could be easily transferred to the CD. Once I was able to speak with Turbo Tax professionals on the telephone, who were EXCELLENT, it was fine. But it took a long time to find out how to contact them. I did not like posting my issue(s) on the public chat forum. Too much loss of privacy!
What's great about it: Very responsive professionals on telephone help line.
What's not so great: CD desktop software less user-friendly than on-line product.

Fantastic except for Print Instructions

Love TT! Couldn't face April 15th without it.
but . . .since E-File came on the scene, the directions for printing and filing are not clear.
I think the idea is to print to a PDF and then print that PDF as your submission but the instructions and on-screen buttons do not make that clear.
I feel like we are being herded to E-file and the poor directions are by design--everything else is so intuitive!
What's great about it: Handled Inherited IRA & Partnerships Perfectly
What's not so great: Print Directions are Less Than Clear

only one area where wasn't sure. Health insurance questions. Didn't know if it was yes or no. Had insurance thru work but didn't know which answer was correct

Very Easy To Use

Second year of using Turbo Tax and find it so easy to use and get a fast refund. Same forms as my accountant used and for a lot less in fees.
Software is very comprehensive and helps you achieve the best refund .
