I am CA resident.
Why should I pay state tax for dividend earned from the CA tax-exempt bond fund ( CA IT TAX EXEMPT) ? Is this correct?

What's not so great: Turbo Tax makes me pay CA state tax on the income earned from CA IT TAX EXEMPT

WAY TO GO TURBO

It covers all area of taxes. I don't believe you left out any aspects. Your review of entries were very helpful. Very simple to use. You used simple questions, not tax language which was a plus.
What's great about it: EASY TO USE
What's not so great: NOTHING
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: the capability to have worksheets download is great. would like to see the choice for default 1099's to expand

Great Leading Questions!

This year was a strange year as our incomes included Social Security payments, Pension payments, withdrawal of our IRA's, and two salary payments which was more than I had ever dealt with in the past. Your questions led me to find the exact way to file these amounts and what was, and what was not taxable. Also the questions led me to all the deductions I had coming which ended up with a tax I could afford. I printed out all the forms including all the calculation sheets and was amazed to find that there were 116 sheets used to figure my taxes! I could never have done that on my own. Thanks for the guidance!
What's great about it: The Questions asked led me to all deserving deductions.
What's not so great: None, very happy with results

Checks and balances are great!

As usual a wonderful experience. Only issue was that I found no notification to my email address of a successful filing. Went back through each step and realized that I printed the returns, at the final stage but did not transmit to IRA. In meantime, I realized that I did not want the "audit defense" but was not able to remove it. That's my only complaint.
What's great about it: Fusion with previous year and federal and State taxes
What's not so great: Need more explanation on solar panel issued

I will continue to use TT because Ive used it for over 20 years.
This year I had difficulty with deleting a K-1 form that I had in previous years.

2015 Turbo Tax Review

This is the fifth year I have used Turbo Tax. Last year I made a mistake in an entry which caused me to have to file an amended return. Turbo tax experts helped me through the entire process. This year it seemed to be much easier and I finished in less time and feel comfortable it is correct.
What's great about it: Easy Step by step process and inputs from past years simplifies the whole process.
