Personal Property Dedution

This section in the software stated that if the property tax is based on the assessed value, as it is in Virginia, then the deduction is allowed; however, there is no place to insert the deduction directly under an "automobile" category and the software actually incorrectly identifies 2 states that allow this deduction, but omits Virginia.
What's not so great: The personal proprty deduction for an automobile in the state of virginia is very confusing in turbo tax and needs to be

Easy to use

I've been using TurboTax to complete my taxes since 1999. The program is very easy to use and is very comprehensive. I feel confident filing my taxes because I know that TurboTax has taken me through every option in order to guarantee my highest refund.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything you need, in order to get your best refund.
What's not so great: It takes a little longer than anticipated to get updates.

Speedy Return

I have been using Turbo Tax for a few years and it never lets me down. Easy step by step instructions takes you through your preparation to e-filing with ease. I look forward to preparing my tax return when I know Turbo Tax is there. Great Job, Intuit!

What's not to like!! I have used Turbo Tax for years and never intend to switch to another method.
What's great about it: Easy to use, have the option of reviewing each topic or choosing what to work on

Easy to use!

The process is easy for federal and state taxes. Anything that I could not figure out quickly with the TubroTax suggestions, I simply googled and the answer was easy to find based upon the TurboTax prompts and my tax paperwork. I am not an accountant and am really not good with record keeping, etc. This software made filing deductions and a K-1 easy.
I was unsure of which software to purchase and called customer service. Instead of waiting on hold, they called me back and the nice lady was patient and walked me through the software decision, download, account creation and sign-in processes. i could not be happier with my experience. The only downside is editing your return. You have to go through more steps than I would have liked but I suppose there is a reason with the software.

As Usual, Piece of Cake

Seriously, why does anyone go to a professional tax preparer? This is so easy a monkey can do it. Read the instructions on the screen, answer the questions, plug in the information/numbers, then sit back and the program does all the work. It's even easier if you used the program last year, because it takes all the basic info (name, social security number, address, bank account number, etc.) and transfers the info for you, so you don't have to retype all that stuff. What could be easier?
What's great about it: Well organized, easy to follow, quick
What's not so great: Price--it can always be lower ;-)
