Could you adjust the page that gives all the sections to complete with inf to return to the same spot that you left to input the info.....is is time consuming and frustrating to have to scroll down thru the sections you have already completed to get to the next section to click on to complete. Thank you.

Premier Is a Good Program

Generally TurboTax is a great tax program. I am pleased with the ease of handling short and long-term capital gains data input. I am disappointed that TurboTax updates still erase PA tax coded information related to pension revenue and that automatic PA tax data entry produced double entries on the worksheet that I had to manually override in order to insure correct posting to my federal Schedule A.
What's great about it: Systematic ease of working through tax data, especially capital gains
What's not so great: Confusing state tax payment automatic entries resulting in manual corrections; updates delete PA tax information
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Lifesaver

Each year TurboTax moves forward data so I have very little to type except for new things. It compares my entries to the previous year which helps me to remember things I might otherwise forget. It is very thorough yet allows you to easily skip things that do not apply to you. While my return is a fairly easy return to do (now as I am retired) it is still well worth the money to insure I do things correctly, especially with the ever changing and complex tax laws.
What's great about it: Easy, Thorough, Time saving, Excellent Year to year continuity

2015 was easier than 2012

For the last two years, I used an accountant but my returns are so simple that it really wasn't necessary. I just hate calculating my return. The prompted questions were easy to follow. I completed the return in an hour but wanted to come back to it another day to check my entries. I was able to go back where I wanted to go in the process. For tax planning, I used it to test a potential mutual fund sale to estimate the impact it might have for next year.
What's great about it: It was easy to follow and navigate.

some bugs in the log in process

When logging in toTurbotax it asks for password.
Then indicates is incorrect. When to respond to "forgot password" AND ENTER THE SAME PASSWORD ITM LETS YOU IN!!
THERE NEEDS TO BE A WAY TO CORRECT/CHANGE A PASSWORD!!!

tax prep review

It is a good product , I keep coming back. I have used it for about almost a decade. I have tried other programs but they were not as thorough. It would be great to print function for the online summaries.. But over all it is a quality program.
What's great about it: I liked the interview process, makes you go through most of your year and possible tax events.
What's not so great: I wish you could print some of the online summaries.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
