A little more, a little less

I am a long time Turbo Tax user but the price difference between TurboTax and its competing product makes me think real hard to switch. I may be a year or two away from dropping TT for good.
When importing brokerage data, not all the information is automatically filled. I have to go back and enter a few data manually. I find this inconvenient.
What's great about it: Seamless from year to year
What's not so great: a little to epxensive, and missing a few required step/features.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2015 tax returns

I have used Turbo Tax for years, have always been pleased with how it made taxes so much easier. But this year was a little frustrating. Maybe the questions were not as specific, not sure, but it did not work out as well. Also, I found that even though the program obtained last years personal information, it did not obtain passive loss carryovers from the previous years. I had to manually enter it in, once I realized it did not have it. My expectation was that Turbo Tax would keep that carrying forward each year. This and how it added in another rental really slowed me down this year.
What's great about it: Lots of information
What's not so great: Not as clear as in the past

constant data collection is irritating

Mostly Turbotax works well. There are a few glitches. Like forms that don't go away, year to year, even though they aren't needed any more. But the most irritating thing about TurboTax is that the primary business appears to be data collection.

Dont pay those accounting services...this is all most of them are using anyway. This will make your life and taxes easier!
What's great about it: Easy, detailed...walks you through EVERYTHING!
What's not so great: none
