Great Product

Just an overall great product. I have used it for over 10 years and will continue to use it in the future. I really liked the help provided and how it allowed me to move between forms and step by step without losing updates made.
What's great about it: Easy to use, flexible in moving between step by step and direct to forms, Help area provided excellent information

Turbotax makes tax filing easy

Turbotax makes filing taxes easy. It is a simple and straightforward way to do your taxes. I like the fact that it will either walk you through the process or you can enter the information in any order you like.
What's great about it: Makes filing easy

Turbo Tax Rocks

In filling out the forms I sometimes can't grasp the terms. The ability to ask for help is tailor made for me. I recommend turbo tax to all of my family and friends This years filing went smoothly.
What's great about it: You cannot beat the ease of use and how the program walks you through every detail.
What's not so great: No cons.

changed amount right before e filing

I was submitting efile. and turbo tax deleted my local income tax amount from my return, resulting in a $500 less refund, RIGHT BEFORE SUBMITTING. I put in the w-2 as it waS LISTED. Now I have to amend

redo contribution to allow easier info input with out exact dates of purchase.
What's great about it: good worksheets except for Sch A contributions
What's not so great: Sch A contributions ot detailed and won't go forward w/o exact dates of purchase

TurboTax is Still Premier

Overall, I would not want to be without this software. However, I missed the place where I could indicate where I could note the amount of money I did not use in my Pre-Tax Child Care Savings Plan and had to forfeit at the end of the year.
Also, because I was amending a return, I was unable to access my broker to download my trades, so I had to input each one myself. Apparently, the window for the tax season closed; this is something that should definitely be remedied, since amended returns aren't usually done during the tax rush.
What's great about it: Covers all of the details that are normally painful.
What's not so great: It is not consistent from year to year, so I miss some deductions.

Painful at times

Good program overall, but it would not let me download my 2014 taxes, until I had paid for the 2015 software.
The investment section is difficult to navigate. There is no specific area to enter additional cost due to wash sales.
