needs for substantivie help

I would like to have more background information when making decisions. The where situatuions where I thoughtI had the data input, but wanted to have more information for the why for some of my dat entiries. I did my son's tax, it was not clear for grants if any of it was taxable.
What's great about it: I think it asked all the right questions for situation
What's not so great: needs more explanation for decisitions

Schedule E could use a little better definition in the "How did you use your second home" category under the "Received fair market rental price" area. I misread the directions and misunderstood what was being asked which caused the Mortgage interest and taxes paid to not be added to the Expenses. I used the "More Help" and was able to correct the error. I'm thankful for the additional help, but maybe the choices could be better defined for the novice? Just a thought...
What's great about it: Did a good job with getting a descent return. Questions were easy to understand
What's not so great: I really strugggled in the Rental Property Expenses area. I was able to search and find the corrections..huge struggle!

Fast and simple, as always

I have used TurboTax exclusively for the past 12 years, and it seems to get better (and easier) each year. I had completed everything (even with some complex entries) in less than 12 hours total. Not bad.
What's great about it: Straight forward guidance from the program, didn't miss anything
What's not so great: Need more fields to enter stock sales
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Excellent software and very easy to use.
What's great about it: Precise and without problems in the printing stage.
What's not so great: Would like to get updates for the state forms sooner.

Rock solid program

If you have questions about a topic or an instruction and you look at the help items and read them completely and understand them, then you'll have no problem with the program. I have used TT for about twenty years and I find that it does what I want it to do. Always has and I guess it always will.
What's great about it: Asked all the right questions.
What's not so great: Really no cons.

easy to follow

Been paying someone else for last several years to do our returns. Tried this with 2 rental properties, and other items that make returns complicated, but the questions walked us through it all. Easy to do.
What's great about it: straight forward

Long time user --- quick and easy

This may have been the quickest and easiest tax return yet, despite some employer stock issues that in the past could be a little hairy. This year's product stepped through everything very smoothly.
I have used TurboTax for more than a decade. The product shows improvements every year in terms of user interface, flow, process, and all elements including filing the return.
What's great about it: Step-by-step, thorough, informative, quick
What's not so great: No issues this year. It just gets better.

Usual thoroughness, but...

I've been using Turbotax since 2002, I've always been happy with the results, last year's hiccup not withstanding. Please don't ever change it again.
My concern is that the program tells me it's updating but after several minutes of no progress, I open the task manager and find it's sitting there idle. Not cool. I don't have enough knowledge of programs to tell if it's in conflict with my anti virus, I just know I hate to wait.
What's great about it: All the forms I need where I need them, easy to understand
What's not so great: Says it's updating, but nothing happens
