I like using Turbo Tax , I have used Turbo for many years , never went to a Tax adviser.

What's great about it: Eazy anyone can file
What's not so great: problom updatiung Turbo Tax with Widow 10

Downloading - had to remove previous versions of turbotax before I could download - what a pain to have to do this, now if I want to go back into one of my old tax years, will have to try and get old version re-loaded. Not sure what you guys were thinking but this is really stupid!
What's great about it: All info in one place
What's not so great: Major pain to download - help desk took forever, and had to call in two separate times

Makes it easy

When I was entering royalties on inherited gas rights it was confusing because we did not own the land or have a business. Seems like there should be another choice for this situation.
What's great about it: entries are explained well and the question and answers helped
What's not so great: dont like the price to file a state return.

I use it every year yo check what my accountant is doing
What's great about it: Very specific. Asks all the questions so you do not forget anything. Easy to go backwards to correct something
What's not so great: Takes a while to get used to

Turbotax simplified complex calculations and data entry. Transferring the 1099 consolidated information from Wells Fargo made it possible for me to file my 1040 with turbotax rather than hire a tax advisor/accountant!
I appreciated suggestions and clarifications provided within the software. I appreciated phone numbers provided where I reached out, for example to receive my e-filing PINs.
I appreciated the clear language and explanations in plain English that were available, e.g., in identifying the routing number on our checks...
I would like to have the quarterly tax payments paid by automatic bank draft, as I was able to do with paying taxes due with the 1040 tax return. I'm not sure how to accomplish this.

CD Returns

I would recommend CD over online. I don't know why but it just seem easier.
