Great tool I've used for years. Love that it transfers my previous year information into my form... Also that previous deductions are listed and I only have to update the info.
What's great about it: Clear walk through instructions and ability to upload files

I like the old format that made it easier to go to specific forms.. The titles on the menu bar now are not clear. It is difficult to get to a specific area. I wasted time fighting the program.
What's great about it: It's included in the regular tax software.
What's not so great: It is difficult to bring up just the forms you want without wandering through the guided return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My TT Comments
on March 2, 2016

I had to upgrade to the Premier edition to get the capabilities that I had in the previous Deluxe version. The interface with user seemed to be a bit better than before but there are still frustrations getting the data entered in the right places. I still don't understand the FORMS menu as I couldn't find some forms I needed but when I viewed the IRS form online and saw where in the 1040 form the data should go and then went into that area on the TT form, it pulled up the form that I was searching for and from then on it was easy.
My main glitch has occurred for 2 years of TT and that involves downloading data from a brokerage firm and TT gets the dat fine and automatically fills in the forms (which I am very pleased and satisfied with) but each year it leaves out a required (by TT for review) item that I have to research and fix during the review process. this is a minor problem that is only annoying and takes a while to resolve. this could well be a problem in the brokerage data transfer as their printed forms had it.
Over the years TT has become better and better and provides a good way to do our complex taxes.
What's great about it: Seems to do what i need
What's not so great: Frustrating in places and doesn't handle data imported from brokerage firms completely

Not sure it is worth what it costs to use. Certainly not work using for state taxes.
What's great about it: Fairly straightforward
What's not so great: Difficult to correct errors in worksheet.
