Love TurboTax!

I love TurboTax. I feel that it is asking me all the necessary questions to get the entries correct. It is easy to use, clearly organized, easy to re-edit, easy to know where you are and what still needs to be reviewed. It provides comparisons with last year which helps one understand where entries might be missing or wrong, or where you expect them to be roughly the same. The estimated taxes are very helpful, and the projections for known changes for the next year. I have confidence that the financial information I import is being entered correctly.

It's Old Hat

Been using many years. Once I start on the 1099 forms I have, I can save and come back a week later and add more received facts. It's great to be able to pick and chose what I put in this week and add to it even after 2 weeks or more. I have trouble picking correct forms to print that show my details that sum to the entry for a category.
What's great about it: TTax questions make it easy and quick. You can always pull up the forms to see where your entries get recorded.
What's not so great: Description of forms/calc sheets available for print do not always turn out to be the ones I wanted.

Been using TurboTax for over 15 years --- never a problem or complaint. I only wish ALL government paperwork were this easy to do. The IRS should hire the software writers for TurboTax and maybe we'd all get a good night's sleep between January 1 and April 15.

HSA/HDHP

HSA-HDHP portion of Turbo Tax is confusing. I should be very clear that everybody understand to use Turbo Tax. If the spouse have a different HSA account with children cover under one of the apparent, it doesn't accept to complete all the steps.
Some section on the step by step don't have the clear wording or easy to understand it, and doesn't have the sample or explaining of the steps.

It gets easier each year to file.

Some things, like loss carryovers, have to be remembered (I now make notes and tack them to the return I just filed). It makes it easier to ensure your being consistent in you answers. I own a multi-use property. Because of this, I divide expenses; however, you have to input certain data again. If you input wrong info and have to go back and fix it, I found that the automatic percentage divisions disappear and you have to divide the numbers by hand (i.e. property tax bill, common area expenses, etc).
What's great about it: It remembers past info. It is able to import docs that would be a pain to input.
What's not so great: Some things, like carryovers and some rental info, have to be remembered
