2015 Tax Solutions

I like that TurboTax takes me through all the items that apply to my circumstance. I don't need to review items that do not apply.
What's great about it: Quick, easy, accurate. Covered all food groups
What's not so great: None

Very good. A few minor things

The inputs were very easy. The ability to import data (w-2, 1099, etc) is excellent and solves lots of issues by avoiding entry mistakes. It would be great to have all data input from year to year so that I never have to look anything up from the previous year. Within a section, it would be good to be able to go back to a specific thing more easily when doing step by step. Right now if you say "go back" after you finished a section, you start the section over. If you want to back up and review something maybe a little window would come up and let you pick a topic to review in the middle of a section. This is pretty minor and over all I thought it was excellent.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step
What's not so great: Did not transfer all info - required me to look stuff up from last year

printing problems

The insurance worksheets did not have the information as I indicated when answering the questions. The final sheets did however have it correct. It did not give me the option to edit/correct the auto deposit of refund.
What's great about it: mostly user friendly
What's not so great: forms has too large of margins to print all bottom lines on my printer

Clunky interface with TurboTax online version

I have used TurboTax online for the last several years. I used the CD/DVD version this year and was disappointed in its ability to pull in all my general/historical information from the last several years. I didn't happen to save the ".tax" file to my hard drive last year, and the online version wouldn't let me general the ".tax" file any longer without paying for 2015. I therefore had to point it to just the pdf file from my hard drive, which picked up some info, but not all.
What's not so great: Did not pick up full details/history from my last several years of using TurboTax online

Two states more complicated

I have used turbo tax since it has been available and it is a great way to do your taxes. First time I have had to do two states and although it was more complicated it lead me through it with few problems. It would have been great if it could have separated the various state amounts based on percentages, but I understand that might not be accurate. I will always use turbo tax because it guides you through everything you just have to keep good records during the year to input your data and it does the rest! GREAT SOFTWARE!!
What's great about it: able to handle two states easily

Comfortable and Reliable

I like that it starts with last year's info and builds. In that respect it points you to revisit items you included last year and didn't think about this year. The format is consistent year-to-year and the sequencing and entry are comfortable. I like that it suggests but doesn't goad. Won't let you skip important things. The e-filing with drivers licenses felt more secure and the process once you do it is very automated with great follow-up. I e-file even when I owe taxes because it saves sending in so many pages and tax forms. I do returns for my parents as well and they are glad it can handle this. I do recommend Turbo Tax to friends and family.
What's great about it: Consistent, forgiving, help when needed, questions when required.
What's not so great: Getting more expensive
